Happy International Women's Day! Although we celebrate the female force each and every day at AHI, we thought what better time to share with our online community how we make an impact! Our storefront is run by all women with a strong passion for Interior Decorating, as well as the Collingwood community as a whole. But our female presence does not stop there - keep reading to get to know our team and learn about the wonderful female-owned, operated (and Canadian!) businesses we promote in our store.

At AHI we believe in a strong team mentality, and are always working hard to not only make our customer’s day, but each other’s as well. When women lift each other up amazing things happen!
We’re not solely work colleagues - but a family, and this family mentality stems down from our owner Tammy who maintains a positive, fun and welcoming work environment for all the ladies. Whether they’ve been working for 1 year to 10 years, they are all family and feel “At Home” when walking through the doors.

Rachel and Lynn joined us near the end of 2021, and we are so over the moon to have them on our team! They bring a ton of passion and enthusiasm for Interior Decorating and furniture, and have worked hard together, and with the rest of the ladies to bring a fresh and exciting new look to the spaces throughout the store. Empowering women doesn’t stop at our team members, but we continue this presence through the product lines we bring into our store. We have a number of female-owned and female-operated brands to celebrate and we hope in reading, you will too! From Creemore ON, to Toronto, to BC, all brands featured below are also Canadian owned and operated, which, in our eyes is double points!
“Located in the beautiful rolling hills of Creemore, Ontario, Purple Hill Lavender is a small, family-run lavender farm that has been called home for over 30 years. The dream of becoming lavender farmers grew from the love of the plant and a desire to build something from the (literal) ground-up that allowed the family to spend more time outside, in the dirt, at their favourite place."

“Lohn was founded in 2018 by two Canadian women, who have always had an obsession with scent and its transportive powers. With an education in chemical engineering and years of experience in the beauty industry, they sought to create candles that tell a deeper story. Their mission is to create sophisticated, high-quality candles at an approachable price that evoke a time, a place, a journey.”
